Boat owners with vessels moored along river towpaths have found OceanMinder to be an invaluable boat tracking and security system, and a useful deterrent against riverborne joyriders looking to steal or cut free unoccupied boats.
OceanMinder detects any unauthorised vessel movement and transmit an alert to any SMS or email address as soon as an incident takes place. The system will then track the boat until the incident is cleared.
Unlike GSM / GPRS based systems, OceanMinder uses the Inmarsat I4 satellites to transmit data and alerts, which enables boat tracking and security monitoring anywhere in the world.
